Craft Course - Further Techniques
Suitable for those with some experience, such as having taken one of the 'Introduction to Marquetry', 'Parquetry Patterns' or 'Marquetry Jewellery' courses.
Students will learn more advanced marquetry techniques including sand-shading, hot-air shading, fine-line detailing, fragmentation, etc. Where possible, emphasis will be placed on the techniques students wish to cover.
Topics covered typically include:
- Safety
- Cutting methods for detailed work
- Sand and hot-air shading
- Fragmentation
- Finger jointing and zig-zag cutting
